Phil Hemstreet, MD
Dr. Hemstreet was born in Durham, North Carolina, but grew up in Birmingham, Alabama. He received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee. He completed his residency at Baptist Health Systems in Birmingham and his Cardiology fellowship at The University of Texas, Houston. Dr. Hemstreet is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Diseases.
Dr. Hemstreet entered private cardiology practice in Tuscaloosa in 2007, prior to founding his own practice, Alabama Heart and Vascular Medicine, in 2012.
Dr. Hemstreet is married with six children. His passions include his family, traveling, his career in cardiovascular medicine and Alabama football (ROLL TIDE!).
